does this car weigh 1040kg? If it is less, then it will be illegal.

Having said that, I got my car mod plated which is 2.5L forced induction and 1050kg stock and the engineer didn't even ask about the weight. So pick a 'nice' engineer Smile

1. pull engine out
2. put new engine in
3. wire it up.

this is one of the most common upgrades for celica's - there's quite a few folks here now doing this and if you go thru the tech articles on the main toymods (click on link up at top right) site you find a few.

the search button can be your friend....

oh nearly forgot to add this: include the step at which you realise you've under-budgeted by about 60%
