when setting the timing do u wind the rod time to (say 10 degrees) then get the cams on top dead centre then put the belt on, adjust the tensioner, then vollia job done??

sorry dude, i only noticed that you got 20 valve in your siggy when you asked that. i cant be sure with the 20 valve as i have never worked on one.

We followed what's in the blacktop manual, PM me if you need the page emailed to you.
Having said that, we haven't tried starting it yet....

cheers heaps fellas, nice avitars boys, love the cat and the clubman, is that julian that i have communicated with before?
those markings are very similar, on the 20v there dot and line are reversed (i.e. dot on block and line on the gear) so cheers hey, i guess i will update this post when i start the car in less than a weeks time (hopefully tomorroz)
