2TG Custom Intake Manifold

Im thinking about making a custom intake manifold for my 2tg when i convert it to efi
i was wondering if i should start from scratch or if i should use a normal 2tg efi manifold and modify it
(greater air volume, ported runner and large t/b)
starting with the standard manifold would be a heap easier
im just not sure that going with a total custom job would be worth it
any idea's ppl
and rod if you have any info you would share about yours it would be great
thanks

I'd suggest using the actual manifold of the 2tg efi unit, and then get a custom plenum made up with a front to suit whatever TB you decide to use, bigger would be better for the TB.....wish I had have done this to my efi set-up now I think about it....

get an 2TGEU intake cut off the front TB flange flat as possible.
weld on a piece of Alum flat stock 1-1.25cm thick
then get an 18RGEU TB(60mm btw) center punch and drill/tap the
holes and port to match the TB opening into the plenum.
Shouldn't cost more then few hundred, less if you know friends
with air tools and TIG welder.

Im thinking about more extreme than that
like hacking the whole top off above the runners and making a larger (3.2L) plenum to go onto it with a XF T/B (75mm)

bah. use the existing 2TG runners that bolts to the side of the head - unbolt the inlet plenum chamber and throw that then make something up that will bolt to the existing runners.

the RG TB would be fine unless this is an all out drag/race motor. It flows 550-600cfm i've been told. Thats not even forced inducted...

yes it unbolts right in the middle. If it didnt you'd have one hell'va time getting to the injectors/fuel rail. My 18RGEU manifold is the same way.
