Magnetic Sump Plug (suit Nissan/Toyota)

Suits most nissans and I'm pretty sure toyotas.

"Made of hardened steel, the magnet is hydraulically pressed into the end of the plug.
Hot zinc coated to prevent rust and corrosion.

These plugs greatly reduce engine wear and tear as ALL small metal particles are attracted to the magnet that the oil filter doesn't catch. This also helps reduce the engines risk to premature failure as the collection of larger metal particles on the magnet will show when something is wrong.

A must for keeping your engine running smoothly for as long as possible."

$25

or you could just put a small magnet on the end of your sump plug yourself. im sure if they "greatly reduce engine wear" then manufacturers would put them in factory.
definately wouldnt hurt tho.

yeah should fit most toyota's, you can return it and get a refund if it doesn't.

manufacturers put magnetic plugs on gearboxes to reduce wear Razz

(located in south east suburbs - you have PM)

...to avoid particles slipping between gears.
but not in the sump.

it was my understanding this plug was for an engine, not gearbox. i understand gearboxes have magnets on the plugs, likewise with the diff plugs.
