Gotta love the dismount the Vespa rider does at the start of the French Taxi... That opening scene is one of the best in the movie. The French one was a good movie. I can't see how this one would be anything but a lame arse American POS.

i avoid all of those too fast too furious type movies now,its just not worth it,i didnt even really enjoy them when i was young enough to be in their target market 12-15..queen latifa shits me..how the fukk could she drift a car with a face full of fried chicken anyway

From what I've seen from the trailer, the only similarity between the Hollywood Taxi and the original French one is that there's a crazy taxi in the film.

Dad has a white 406 exactly like the one in Taxi (french version) I have tried and tried to convince him to at least put a sports steering wheel on it but he won't

I don't think its a 406 in taxi in the euro version its a 405 cos its square 406's are very rounded. The other similarity is the whoele plot, ie the police guy doesn't have a licence and how they trap them at the end on the jump. I refuse to watch the hollywood version but have seen enough from the ads to rulle it off as trash. Taxi is regularly on SBS, and its damn cool. Gotta love the way he smokes the mercs.

No its definitely a 406. In Taxi 2 and 3, I'm pretty sure they use the series 2 406 whereas in Taxi 1 its a series 1 406.

I'd swear it was a 405 in the 1st taxt and 406's in the 2nd and 3rd. couldn't find a ref for it in any reviews. Someone needs to check the release dates for the cars vs the movies.

I've only seen number one and think it is a 405 tryed searching but nowhere had a frontal pic of the car so I could distinguisdh it maybe a 406 cos it was a few months ago I saw it

I've got Taxi 1 & 2 also. 
Oh, and I'm pretty sure it's a 406. I remember the scene where he got clocked doing 306 when driving his gf's father to the airport.

i havent seen the french one, all i am saying is that if someone offered me $100 to sit through it again, i would rather pimp myself out as a gay prostitute, and i dont have any intentions of having someone ram me in the poo hole any time soon.
