AE86 - Rear Brace Fitment - How to secure bolts ?

Hello,
Just wondering if anyone here has fitted a rear cusco brace that runs between the wheel arches ?
(not where the a-spec ones go)
I understand that some holes have to be drilled, but i am unsure as to how i should go about securing the bolts to the underside of the wheel housing.
Do these just tap into the thin sheet metal ?
Thanks
James

Ahh cool...
Would love to hear if there are any tips on drilling them holes.. before i make a mess of the whole thing.
At a guess.. i'm guessing.. power drill. - Get appropriate drill bit.. mark and drill ?
Any idea as to the bolt length required ?

hmmm....not as easy as drilling into wood etc im' afraid.
I'm talkin not even making a mark!
Used hammer drill, power drill, dremel, all didn't even scratch the surface.
try it and let me know what works best as i spent a good hour last time without any success

its all about the type of BIT you use
specifically for boring metal surfaces

Drill it with a small drill bit first (like 1/8 or smaller)
Then go up to 1/4, and work you way up to the size of the bolt.
Drilling metal is slow.
If you cant get it to stay in the one stop, grab a hammer and a nail, and put a small dent EXACTLY where you want the hole to be.
The drill bit wont move anymore.
HTH!
