decent workshops around ipswich? Mon, 15 November 2004 06:18 Go to next message
hi all

i have a ke10 with a 4age in it and its recently started leaking some oil and generally needs a tune up. can anyone suggest a decent workshop around ipswich/brisbane? i don't mind spending a bit more for quality work, but i am a uni student so there is a budget. the last guy i took it to hadn't even bothered to refit the air cleaner, i found it roaming round the engine bay when i got it home.

cheers

Hi,

Been a long while since I've put a car into a service place in Ippy.

The last good guys I used have since all closed down (retired).
But there is a pretty ok guy at the BP on Blackstone Road near the 7-11. My brother in law used him to get some stuff done on his EL Falcon, and the guy there was pretty decent.

Apart from that there is a couple of guys in Turley st. just near the uni there (which is where you may have gone to), I havent used anyone there except for Max Anderson, but mostly used him for RoadWorthy's.

I can aska friend who is a good backyard mechanic, he helped me rebuild a few of my motors and does a good job, but I don't think he has much time these days.

Floppy
