I just purchased a EMS Stinger for my 4AGZE Aw11 and im having problems getting it started with the supplied base map. The base map supplied i believe was for the MAP sensored DLI 4agze as igniter's was set to two. I have since set it to 1. But would like to check my wiring with any 1 that has hooked one up to the stock distributor and igniter. Diz on the IRC channel gave me a hand but it seems that the plugs aren't firing correctly. as it fires as if its gonna start the stops and cranks for a while and fires again. But wont actually start. Any help would be great.
this might sound newb then but how can i set the timing if the engine isnt running ? can i turn crank to the 10 degrees b4 tdc notch and turn the dissy till the rotor button lines up wif no 1. ???
set it to zero dude
look in oil filler cap to see the indent on the camshaft
so you know its at the right stroke
if u dont see it
turn it over 180degrees
then set dizzy to fire on cyl 1
