I believe the RA40 is essential a 're-skinned' evolution of the RA23/28 so I expect that the window winding mechanism's and the steering box are the same.
Cheers,
Mitch.

Please more info on putting electric windows in my ta23!
Heard there was a factory option (impossible to get?). Have read posts about other ta22/ra23/28 with electric windows though still my question:
Where do I buy the bits necessary for electric windows in ta23?
Fixing up (reco, modifying?) the steering on the 23's would be interesting as well - have read little bits here and there - cause the 30 year ol' ball joint steering is generally pretty loose / dodgy, but you just get use to it...

PS Any suggestions for how to do an electric power steering mod on the ta23?? ...sorry I can't answer your question but am very interested to know the answer.
