You are serious, right ?
I opened this thread expecting to see a cute girl with Anna Nicole Smith assets sitting in the front seat of a Hiace.
You are going to buy and fit driver (and passenger) airbags from a car (wrecked?) into a Hiace?
I think trying to buy a airbag from a wrecked car is illegal.
And you want to fit the sensors to activate the air bag in an accident, yourself as well?
Even if the air bag was from the exact same model of car I would never attempt to fit one of those and its probably illegal for me to do it anyway.
And can you live with yourself if you or someone else drives this van, has an accident and the airbag does not deploy, or it goes off when there is not an accident ?
Tell me when you ever sell this van so I don't buy it please.

i once saw a tarago get clipped (driver's side) at suburban speeds - the damn thing spun on it's nose before falling on the driver's side.
A hiace with almost no nose-length would have left the driver smeared all over the front-left guard of the 200B that collected it.
personally, i think all people movers/vans are death traps.
do yourself a favour - sell it to a tradesperson and buy a wagon.
btw, i don't think it's legal (or safe) for a wrecking yard to have airbags units with explosives or the bag still intact?

Judging by the vernacular employed by the person making the enquiry, i'd say he is referring to airbag suspension.

matt: i think you're right ... but that still doesn't get around the fact that those vans are machines for turning humans into dogfood...
... plus i think you win an award for the first-time use of the word 'vernacular' on toymods?

since you're in melbourne speak to calizcustoms or airide.com.au
you're going to have issues with the front end. to tub the front you'll need to raise the seats or something
rear end will be easy. just like any basic install. should run a link setup rather than a monoleaf
I assume you've seen the green hiace from queensland?
Carters customs fixed that up after the original bag job. think they're still working on it
