Rego Question

Iam basically not 100% sure on some things concerned with Rego.
If anyone could clear this up for me would be a help. Does CTP automatically change to your name when you purchase a second hand car privatly when you hand in and fill out the transfur of registration ?
Secondly, if the above is true, then how do i renew my CTP for my car, will the CTP provider contact me before my Rego Expires ?

yes on the ctp, the ctp will contact you about a month to two weeks before it expires

in queensland u just pay your rego and that pays your CTP. there is no contact from the insurer unless u call them to change to another company

Yes it automatically transfers and yes you'll get a renewal notice for the greenslip around the same time as you get the renewal notice for rego. But make sure you call around for pricing. I saved around $300 by changing from the company the last person had used.

my ctp renewal is coming up soon, what are some companies with decent prices that you guys know of? It's for a ae82 cs-x
I've called around and have been quoted $560 by NRMA and AAMI
