I would appreciate as much info as possible on St141 Corona's...
From the model code i am guessing this has an S series engine?
I just want to know as much as possible...
like weights, specs, drivline, brakes, suspension...

Came in S, CS, and CS-X variants.
Powersteering, air were the options in the S and CS and CS-X. CS-X had central locking, driving lights, and the 4sp auto.
1080kg for the autos, 1070kg for the manuals.
2 litre carby - 2S-C, 73kW/157nM across the range. RWD
Transmissions were either a 4sp manual, 5sp manual, 3sp auto, or 4sp auto (in the CS-X).
10lt/100km in the manual, 11lt/100km in the auto.
Tank Capacity - 61 litres
Exterior Length - 4495 mm
Exterior Width - 1660 mm
Exterior Height - 1385 mm
Front Track - 1375 mm
Rear Track - 1350 mm
Wheel Base - 2500 mm
Front Independant macpherson struts. With solid disks.
Rear Borg-Warner live axel with drums, optional solid disks.
Anything else?
EDIT: There was a imported Corona.. the Avante. Came in white and had IRS and the 2.4lt EFI engine.

get an rt142 danmit 22re much better than 2sc unless you are planning to put a 1ggte in it. My car is a csi manual weighs 1080kg, uses about 15l per 100km all city driving suspension as said before are a bit harder, you can get plenty of springs no probs but shcoks are bit harder pretty much monroe gt gas. Very tail happy car would suggest some 15inch mags that are equipped with good rubber on the rear.
Millions of spares parts cos every bogan has one and very reliable.

I have a st141 'S'.
It has the 4spd manual and is very economic.
Smooth car to drive, and reliable. Of course 20yr old cars are bound to need some attention, but nothing major. The 2sc is no power house, but as rt142 said... if its for a 1g, either will do.
And yes, they are quite tail happy

This is incorrect - the Avante was locally assembled like all the other models. With the change to lead free, it gained the independent rear from the 3S and 22RE powered Celica of the same period, using imported parts.
But the suspension tune was shit and the handling was reportedly hardly better than the previos live rear axle model. It was a bit of a waste as the JDM 3TGTE powered GT-T was apparently a very good handler.
I drove a IRS Avante once, worse to drive than a 30 year old Fiat I once had.

And the rt142 had the 22re in live rear axle I should know I have one. Not all avante are irs though as some are produced when my car was and still had live rear axle but 4 wheel disc brakes, so many variations. St141 can have digital dash to.

My st141 wagon went pretty hard on just king springs and monroe gas, webber and extracts helped lots too

What's the lowest weight model as printed on the compliance plate?
Vehicles over 1100kg have a lot more freedom for engine conversion than under.
ie would be allowed turbod 3UZ

benift of the rt142 AVANTE model is it has the F series rear end. 7.5inch and you can put the LSD from MA61 supras in it.

is there any cosmetic body differences between the st141 and rt142??
im taking it the rt142 has the 22R motor?
easy to put in a st141??
Gearbox compatible?
i have a st141 wag. badly needs a new motor!!!

Front grille and headlights are different. The RT142 has double headlights and because of this different style indicators as well.
On top of high beam the RT142 scored driving lights which mean the headlight assembly is wider than the ST141.

So does the ST141 CS-X, ive got one with the driving lights.
Factory central locking, and a solid rear end with disks.
