Hi Guys,
Hope some one can help me out with how to tell the difference between a Manul 1jz ECU and an Auto.Pictures would be helpful.
Also what are the differences between the different models and their ECU's and are they interchangable, i.e fit chaser ECU to a soarer engine/loom or vice versa.
Thanks
Ben

With the Soarer 1JZ ECU, it looks identical apart from the M/T printing on tht label. The difference is that not all wires in the plugs coming from the car will be there.
Also, the Supra 1JZ ECU uses a 2 row configuration of wires, where a Soarer 1JZ uses 4 rows of wires.

I have also found that some ECU's have different flyer wire plugs. For example, I was sent a complete 1JZ loom (which I have now found out is a Soarer loom for my Supra engine and trans grrrr) with "matching" ECU. The wiring loom plugs all plug into the ECU fine, but the flyer wire is completely different on the loom compared to the one coming off the ECU.
