Thanks Turbo Fella, I have put a lot of time and effort into the
car. Sorry to even talk about selling her, but I simply cannot
keep two cars (double insurance, double rego, etc).
To answer your question... YES it has about 10 MONTHS REGO! Shocked

Hey sorry Les, I have given the camera back... so I don't have
any interior pics Sad . But it is in great condition for age
of the vehicle. It has seat covers protecting the seats too~!

Yes the vehicle has an engineers certificate and it was all done
(weilding etc) to professional standards.

It has the independent rear suspension but no LSD.

De@Noo thanks for the bump!

If I hadn't bought my other celica, I wouldn't even be considering
parting with it Crying or Very Sad . Even now, I still prefer to drive my turboed rear wheeler.

Here is a pic of the side view for good measure....

Yes - I'm prepared to give the big thumbs up to this car! Very tidy. and engineered too!! no extra costs or surprises, therefore making it a very good price indeed!!

Hopefully you'll sell it to someone who appreciates it.

Good luck with sale

This celica is a fun car to drive, as most modified cars would be.
I guess thats its selling point. Old style looks, with the grunt to back it up.
It comes with a boost gauge and it currently runs at 12 psi.
I have noticed a little smoke coming from the exhaust but it doesnt seem
to affect the performance of the vehicle. Anyway all parts for the engine
can be easily obtained from your local toyota dealer.

I had third party insurance for it from Just Car Insurance (AMMI)
and it cost me about $500 for the year. This is quite reasonable considering
I am under 25 and it is supposably rated as a 'lethal weapon'.

Hey thanks for the comments and bumps 'mx83toy' and 'WA_TRD_83'!! Smile
Toymods is the first place I have even advertised the car. I thought I
would give you all first dibs. That way I know that whoever bought it
would definately appreciate it.

Due to the interest I have had, even locally,
I don't think I will have any trouble selling it.

So to answer your question 'woodsie' I don't think I will have the car
by January, although its not all that far away! If I still have it, then...
sure I may accept closer to $4g but I can't hold it... real sorry dude. Confused

Confused Problem for the young fellas is this: If you need Finance, then you have to get Comprehensive Insurance. Guess at over $1,200 / year, sure you can do Pay by the month, but the bastard insurance companies jack up the price by another 15% for that.

Free bump: But I know you would prefer a sale than all the bumps in the world. Razz Nice ride, tho.

I live in QLD on the sunshine coast, so looking at the car could be a little bit of a trip, but im moderately keen, only moderate due to a small lack of funds, i only have like 3k save at the mo. Could you please keep my posted on how things go, as i will have cash pretty damn soon! cheers!!

Thanks Trev mate... I guess its kinda catch 22 with loans/insurance.
I suppose the other option is to get a personal loan and then just
get third party property insurance or get someone over 25 who can
get the loan?? Rolling Eyes

No problem 'Wezelton' will keep you posted! If you were really keen
then I could possibly take the car to the Gold Coast or maybe even
Brisbane... would want more than 3k though!!

RA63 lad - did you do the conversion yourself? I'm currently doing the same thing to my simialr-looking RA65, and was just wondering how you did the mounts etc. Apart from using xA6x supra rear swing arms for the rear discs, did you upgrade the fronts at all?

Free bump.

'Stefan' thanks for the bump! Have fun with your conversion,
it is a good learning experience... The outcome will be so
worth it! The conversion was done by a mate, his toyota
mechanic dad and myself. The engine mounts were constucted by
modifying the original mounts. Additional metal pieces were
professionally welded to the mounts. The rear disc and arms
were taken from a independent rear corona. The front discs are
original.

'Intensevil' - when I bought the supra front cut, the odometre
read 65,000 kms but who knows if this is true. I have put about
10,000 or so on that I guess. The chasis has only very 'minor'
rust, in keeping with the age of the vehicle. I havent had a
compression test done. The smoke is black - this means oil huh??

Rust is not a problem with this vehicle...
There is a slight bubble on the rear hatch,
and a little surface rust on the bottom of the
doors - on the inside. There is a few paint
chips too, but in general it is in quite good
condition. Looks like it may be sold... still
taking further offers for a little while though!

my mate has the same car and same engine, he's making about 160k/watts at the rear. Is yours putting out around that mark?

Bargain! And congrats.

Do you have it yet? If not, when does it arrive? I'd love to see it!!! I have to come down and pick up my parts from Clint when they arrive at your place anyway... Very Happy

Would love to check out the engine mounts etc to help me do exactly the same thing to mine. The specs are a mix of what I have already done to my car + what it will be, even has the same suspension I have now, though I'll be swapping that out for somehting a lto better and upgrading the front brakes Smile
