Lew,
Does this mean the J.I.P operates out of Melbourne now? And would all the parts J.I.P have for sale located here too? Would be good as pick-up costs a lot less then freight.

Hmmmm, I gather all this from the mixed feelings/feedbacks on Kristian previous...
Anyways,
Is it a diff website?
Change in servies (way operate or what services are offered)?
Where is homebased/operating out of now?
... I believe the time taken for full update info/fee costs etc etc would be worthwhile.
So no disputes can occur.
All the best.

I guess Lew would not have paid much for any 'goodwill' component in the purchase.
I hope you can turn the business around Lew.
Cheers

WHOA! i did not know Kristian sold JIP! i thought he was doing alright, he was always a big spender on these forums picking up engines/cars etc on regular basis.
He was alright, never ripped anyone off that i know off, can be abit snobby at times but an alright bloke otherwise.
abit of a shock/surprise.
anyway good luck with the new buisiness Lew.
(i'm moving to melbourne next month, if you need a sidekick to help with orders, parts and genaral toyota tech stuff i'm availiable )

The comments from you guys show you have no idea at all.
Ask Lew hom much work he is doing and how hard it is, and then you might realise that there is way too much work for just one person. Especially at times when I was receiving over 100 emails a day.
I'd like to see you try Start your own business, run and manage it all by yourself, buy parts, organise everything, pick them up and deliver, package them, strip half cuts, cars and engines, and answer 24,000 emails over the past 12 months, complete over $360,000 worth of sales, operate on 4 forums, and do it all from a at home office -- By your self.
Untill you try it - dont judge me for it. You have no idea.

Firstly, does bitching and moaning help anyone? seriously?
I have done business with Kristian in the past, and he has always found me what i was after at a FUCKING SENSATIONAL price(sorry mods it adds enphasis). Yes he was slow at replying, yes he may not have the worlds best personal skills or business management skills, but what he lacked on there he made up for with TICKER, which is what half you SKIRTS dont have and will always envy the guys that have it.
bottom line, he had way too much business for a one man operation, he realised it and chose not to expand and intead of letting down clients in the future decided to sell the business. did you ever think maybe he wasnt the reason for the parts taking longer or getting lost in the mail, maybe it was the distributor in Japan holding onto parts or losing them, although he was the intermediatry for the sale, he would have limited power to get things to happen faster.
i was one for hassling him to expand and keep the business, even at the cheap prices he let things go for he could make a lot of money and help a lot of people. But he has other passions to follow in regards to a career.
Now hows that, i am still waiting on parts but i am postive and thankful to him.
instead of whinging like little bitches and being envious of people going faster, having more money, having better cars or having more TICKER, either get out there and do it yourself or go home and pull those pathetic little penises you all have.
J
P.S, all the best Lew with the future of the business.

Youngy---> yes, you are right.
.J.---> Thankyou, much appreciated.
I really dont want this to go any further, we have heard both sides, and this is now now a finished subject, as Lew is the new owner, and he is taking cae of all new sales, and helping chase up some of the old ones. Lew is ALOT more organised than me as well, and this will definatly help him with the business side of things. He is also a bit older than me, and knows alot more about running a business. I have no doubt that Lew will take Japanese Import Parts as far as possible, minimising reply and delivery times, yet keeping the all important HUGE range and GREAT prices.
Good luck Lew.

im not a bitching person not normally anyways, and this new management thing i dont know is such a good thing. as i sent 2 emails and left a msg on the no. provided and i got back a whole nothing. Kristian always returned calls, and emails.
but this buiness will not go far if they dont return customers calls and emails.
NOT to put crap on you Lew take it as constuctive critisism.

How about you give lew enough time to settle in and take care of back orders and 'old business' before you give 'constructive critisim'.
Just a thought.

yeah sure but wouldnt a return email or phone call be considerate, and say i am too busy at te moment to bae able to serve you it takes a whole 5 seconds. If he wants customers he needs to make the customer happy. if they are not happy they will not do business again. I am a business man myself and if i were put in this situation will millions of back orders i would have my email send on auto send back with an apoligetic msg saying "i current am in the mist of getting back orders finilaized as i have just taken over this new business venture, I may not be able to attend to your enquiry in a sataifactory time."
now how hard is that. so dont give me your lecture about this and that im trying to help the guy saying that maybe he should look at other alternitives in servicing other peoples needs, or employe more people. I am an x customer of kristian's i have purchaed in th thousands from him, how does lew know i didnt want to make another large order.... all im getting at is a respose should be made.
