2001 Corolla engine conversions

im considerin of an engine conversion sumtime next year
but dont know wha motor to put.
im interested in puttin in a 4A-GZE and later on convertin it to a 4A-GTE?
Other option is a 7A-FTE but those motors seem to be rare.
so.... what shall i do

7A-FTE doesn't exist from Toyota.
You've got to make it yourself.
Better bet would be put a 4A-GE (or GZE, or 20V) head on your 7A block with forged pistons & then add a turbo.
That way you'll get a 1.8 twin cam instead of 1.6

Search on these forums for this swap.
Or you could try squeezing in a 3S-GTE, though if you need a new engine like we do in NSW, it'd have to be out of a late model Caldina (& I've only seen 3 at a wrecker in NZ & they were 97-99 models)

Do a web search as Europe had these engine fitted to there two door AE111 (ZZ111? I think? do have one photo) and Mated to a 6-spd. If so, track down the engine mounts, etc and jam a 2ZZ-GE with the six slot between the towers.... Thinking of that,  I've been wondering what to do with my old rally shell....

Well, I gues you could say that a 7AFTE DOES exist, in that rather weak limited run orange thing they tried to sell a few of over here...

I can do it with my eyes closed... top gearbox mount will be different... just need to drill new ones in your existing mount...
