Hey,
I own a 1988 twin turbo supra with a 1GE and i have the twin turbo set up (incl manifolds) off of a 2J and was wondering if anyone knew if i can either bolt on the turbos onto my manifold or can i bolt the turbos and manifolds on.

Yes you would. Personally I wouldn't be bothering. For the effort you may as well just put a 1GGTE in, or do a 1JZGTE conversion

He already has a 1G-GTE.
I agree it's not worth the bother; the manifolding will cost a lot of money and then you'll run into problems with the wastegates (ie only one of the 2JZ turbos has a wastegate, the other has a bypass valve). You'd be better off with a cheap single turbo upgrade, or better yet do the 1JZ conversion as JCMF suggested.

Sorry dude, I've been flat-strap getting my car ready for engineering tomorrow morning. Should be able to send them tomorrow afternoon if all goes well.

Thanks I've just had a cash injection, looks like these brakes will be going ahead before engineering after all. All I need to do is make sure they're on their way for when I finish uni.
But yeah, I wouldn't be bothered trying to adapt the complicated 2JZ turbo setup. Do yourself a favour and source a nice single turbo...that does not include a CT26.

VG30 Roller Bearing all the way baby
people say T28BB but for the price of a T28 you can get 3 VG rollers, you do the maths

Yeah, but a pair of VG30 roller bearings isn't as useful as one T28... You pay for their effectiveness.

No shit, but can you imagine two of those on a 2l engine? Think of the lag.

frank where did i say in my original post that i want to put two of them on my 1GGTE?
what i am trying to say is that you buy in bulk, i.e. three of them, use one at a time, run more boost than reccomended for those turbos, i.e. around 17 psi and when they go boom bolt another one on, or if you dont feel like changine them over anymore spend the 1000 bucks on getting it highflowed and steel wheeled, then you can run aroun 23 psi without any issues

It just seems stupid to buy two turbos for the point of blowing one up, when you could buy one that would reliably make the power you want.

you dont have to buy two or three or ten or 1000
all i am saying is that for one third the price you can have a turbo that is nearly as good.
i have been told by someone that has used VG30 rollers in heaps of projects that i can get 220 atw with an aftermarket front mount on 16 PSI or 190 atw on 14 PSI and have still have safety on the turbo
