Howdy, I have a mate with a LA Lancer, 1975 I think? Anyways.. We've done quite a bit of work/research on it.
Currently has a 2lt starion turbo engine with starion 5spd gearbox.
Turbo has been replaced with a TC-06 (slightly larger turbine housing and runs 12psi in stock form).
Got rid of the stock inlet manifold that has 2 injectors in the air stream. Replaced with an L300 multipoint injection manifold. Running Nissan GTR injectors.
Autronic SMC with a M&W CDI ignition, haltech quad coil pack setup with direct fire (no dizzy).
Front brakes are upgraded to GH sigma items.
Thats probably about it... Damn quick car, being so light also (around 800kg i think). Engine is currently back out getting a rebuild with forged pistons.
Not sure if this is something you wanted to know or not! Let us know though if you want anymore info/pics etc.
Cheers
Joel

Hey,
yeh a friend of mine has just recently done that same exact conversion and yes it really goes hard, i love the car and you hardly ever see many really of them. This is the oldskool 1973-74 coupe model and is so light, the polwer-to-weight ratio is crazy already with a pretty stock engine!
Yet he has already come across problems with this engine after about 2 months, Wat diff you running in that Lancer Turbora28? he just runs stock still and it is definately gona go sometime soon.. wat with all the wheelspin it gets.
They are a sick car and heaps unique, but
yeh id prefer a toyota or a rota any day
peace

Yeah a great car and getting quite rare here in Australia too. Though you do see some around from time to time.
There is hardly anything on the Net about them. I've searched high and low for information and nothing! I can find plenty about the G63B engine doner (starion) engine but not the car itself.
Maybe we'll get some information and pics up on the Net of my mates Lancer. Be the first possibly??
Currently its running stock diff also, which can only last so long as like you say wheel spin is crazy. Not sure what will go in yet. Something strong and LSD. Maybe bog warner, hilux?
I actually have the RA28 Aus spec crome rear bumper. It has a few dints and would need a freshen up but you can have it cheap if you want. I'm sure there would be plenty of places over in the US who would straighten it up and re-crome it?
Let me know, can have it for $50 australian. Not sure about postage though!
Cheers
