rewiring a TA22

hey guys
i have a TA22 that needs wiring. the shell came with no wiring and then engine and g'box (2T-G and T50) came from another car that i pulled the wiring out of. i also have put a fuel pump in (mounted under the car, kinda behind the drivers side rear seat) and a thermo fan.
Questions are:
1. am i crazy to want to rewire everything from scratch using a new fuse block, relays and wires (but using the old connectors and grommets)
2. where should i get the parts to do this? (ie. where do i find 10-15 different coloured 10-30amp wire? should i get an aftermarket fuse block, make my own or get one off a different car from the wreckers? and if i muck up any of the original connectors, where can i get them?)
3. has anyone done this themselves and how much did it cost?
4. how much would an auto sparky charge to totally rewire everything and does anyone know of a good one in Sydney, near maroubra?
5. have i missed anything i really should be thinking about?
thanks in advance for any help

speak to sideshow, he pretty much does everyones wiring round here. does excellenty work and price isnt too bad either.
as for doing it yourself it would take a week or 2 to lay it all out, measure it up and everything else. as for colouring you would need to go to a auto electronics shop the does wholesale

i'm totally rewiring my car atm (KE15) and it is a lot of effort, but since i never had relays before, and i have EFI going in.. it's worth it.
search around wreckers for fuse panels (ford falcon and laser have nice compact ones)
VL commodore and some falcons have nice relay blocks
for different coloured wire, castle auto elec sell by the m in verious sizes and colours for reasonable prices. i'm using mostly just red and black for power things, and some brand new loom wire from recent cars for specific colours.
dunno how much it cost yet... at least one or two hundred including all new light sockets etc.. but it's more the time it takes to design and implement the system (mine is a little more complex then normal as i'm seperating all operating systems)
the other thing you can do is get a "painless" wiring harness... they are a little exxy (maybe $500?) but are very neat and useful...
plan plan plan.... the more you put in, the more complex it gets, but it does mean you know exactly where everything goes, and i don't think i'd trust someone else to do any of my wiring.... but thats me
a couple of pics here.. http://www.materials.unsw.edu.au/~sford/newstuff.h tml
i now have switches, battery monitor and indicator LED's on the console in the top part...

oh, and allow a few weeks to plan it out, then a few weeks for implementing.. wiring takes time.. even just the soldering and heatshrinking is slow tedious work.. last thing you want is a poor connection fuxoring it all up..
and pay attention to the relay and switch wiring etc etc..

and then do this... rewire all the existing plugs into the new loom, so it's plug n play...
