Heya guys. I recently purchased a Toyota Corona RT142 2.4L 5spd Manual, for an extremely cheap price with ideas to make into a weapon. Can anybody tell me any info, or link me up to any info which could possibly be of use? If you could do that, it would be muchly appreciated.
1. What kind of engines fit in this car with small hassle?
2. Whats the Stud Pattern?
3. Is the Avante a Boggo version, or a good version?
4. Any other info would be greatly appreciated.

3TGTE, 1GGTE are both relatively simple to fit. A fairly easy car to swap a whole bunch of bits onto.

ahh if you bought the car you should know the stud pattern 4 stud 114.1mm. Fix suspension up king springs or dobinsons like mine, question does your car have irs or not, front of rt142 very similar to celica sa63 both common conversion is 1ggte..
Your current engine is a 22re, very torquey though not that powerful will not make much progress beyond 4400rpm as peak power of 87kw is produced then ,Change at 5 thousand. Peak Torque is 198nm at 2800rpm.
Car will drink fuel like buggery around 15l+ per 100km in the city possibly 13L with a really light driving style.
Car weighs 1080kg.
Fix suspension up first I did heavy duty donison springs all round $320 for 4 same price for lowered. Shocks I have the rears off a crown which are KYB $65 each exactly the same as thhe corona ones, but kyb doesn't manufacturer shocks for the rt142. Front struts are MOnroe Gt gas for same price as the rear for me stuffed up order. But around $350 for the pair youch.
Your car will probably have 4 wheel discs being an avante, good mods would be possible replacement dba rotors if your planning on plenty of power or just some good pads like bendix ultimate.
The cars are extremely reliable and relatively quick because of the torquey nature of the engine and the low mass. Mine has a live rear axle so it is quite tail happy especially in the wet.
My car has clocked over 400K km and is still going strong, uses a bit of oil but other than that is fine.
As said by 79rolla do a search, when I first got mine i did and got heaps of info that was over a year ago now.
Another thing is that there is hundreds of corona's floating around so spare parts is not a problem.
