Original Toyota Wheel and Tyre Sizes, Specifically Corolla? Tue, 23 November 2004 10:22 Go to next message
As a requirement for a modification approval application, I must supply an original wheel and tyre size. In the interests of asisting both the decision, and any possible engineering required, I'd like to list the largest wheel and tyre combination that was ever FACTORY FITTED.

The Vehicle in question is a 1980 TE71 Corolla/Sprinter/T18/Levin GTV (what ever you want to call it?!), so I'm looking for info on original wheel and tyre combinations for vehicles using the same suspension setup and of the same era. I believe the original wheels fitted to this vehicle were the pressed steel items, that can also be found on alot of TE72/T18's, can someone please list their exact size, offest, and tyre fitting? I'm also looking for all the optional wheel and tyre sizes too, so for those applicable to my car, am also looking for the pressed steel rim and tyre fitments for locally delivered Corollas, and also the 10 (?) spoke alloy wheel options too?

In the interests of data aquisition, if anyone wants to also list other Toyota original wheel and tyre fitments, feel free, and I'll try to keep an accurate list here in the first post?!

List away!

MA61, Alloy, 14x5.5, 27mm, 195/70/14, 4 square holes opposite each other, "Tarago" alloys
MA61, Alloy, 14x7, 8mm, 225/60/14, 8 spoke "Supra", GTS rims
MA61, Alloy, 15x6, 20mm, 205/60/15, 8 spoke "Soarer", GTS rims

Above is what the Yanks came with (some slight variations to what you typed above)

Not sure what Aus delivered RA60/5's had though.

Clint,
I have an original jap brouchure at home with these models within. While it does not give any offsets it will list the wheel and tyre fitment sizes. With any luck it might have a limited edition sports model with a larger wheel and tyre combo. I will have a look around and get back to you.
Mitch.
