If you are blowing a fuse you might have a short somewhere. Check your cables going to the fan and make sure there is no stripped wires touching metal. If you know how to use a multimeter it makes the job a lot easier.

what size fan is it

some kits are shit
they supply a 15 amp fuse for 10 inch fan

then they also supply a 15 amp fuse for a 16 inch fan

thats stupid

if u have thick wiring say 30 amp stuff

then run a 30 amp fuse

it will still blow when theres a bad short but not when the fan starts

all i can say is fuses are there for a reason...
they melt moments before the circuit does...
over rate the fuse size and the fuse wont melt
but everything else will!

multimeter is your best friend for this job (if suitable),
i agree on the short idea... and it could be possible
to have too small a fuse too - use car ammeter (30 amp) to see how much current the fan only uses, using a new circuit of course to test it.
