CT12 turbos????

Does anyone know anything about CT12 turbos? I think that's th right name for it (CT12). I was wondering if anyone knew what it comes off, and if it would be fesible to set up in a twinturbo setup on a '95 7A-FE????
I'm hella keen to turbo the biatch, but I already have traction problems, so a twin turbo sounds like it would be a better idea. (smoother power delivery) Any ideas? Comments? Looking for feedback people!!!! Would anyone also know of somewhere in the sydney/central coast area who could do a decent and fair priced rebuild on the motor, as 160000 km's is WAAAAY too much to turbocharge.

I think they were on the 1G-GTE ???
and if they weren't the twin-turbos off the 1G-GTE would probably do the trick.

Yeah, those are the 1G-GTE ones. They're pushing enough air for a 2.0L so shouldn't be too bad for a 1.8L.
Don't think it's really worth bothering with twin turbos though. Too much stuffing around for a backyard job... Just get a rollerbearing turbo and it should spool up just as quickly.

There are 2 types of CT12's.
CT12 comes off a 1G-GTE 2.0 litre twin turbo six, and they have steel turbine wheels.
CT12a comes from a 1JZ-GTE 2.5 litre twin turbo six, and they have ceramic turbines and spool up much quicker at lower revs, but the ceramic wheels are known to fall off after prolonged overboosting (say 15psi). The replacement wheel is generally the steel wheel off the 1G-GTE CT12.

It won't be a backyard job. i'll get it done properly. (Not That I couldn't try to figure it out! I'm too lazy!!!)
So twins would work... What would a fair price be for a set of two? I'll need a custom manifold for them, anyone know any good manifold maker type dudes?

By "backyard", I meant "non factory". It's a lot of extra stuffing around to get the two turbos working together.

how do you mean? Won't it just be extra piping, and letting the computer know what's going on?
