Some Q's about Show&Shine Answerd by Fullock..... Sat, 27 November 2004 12:39 Go to next message
I asked fullock some questions just to make things clearer regurading show and shine. Here's info for any1 interested.

1- When will entries close for show and shine?
Entries must be received by Friday 10th of December at 2pm

2- Once you have posted your entry form and paid the $25, at what time (if any) will you recieve confirmation that you are in 'show and shine'? As soon as your entry form is handed in and paid in full, you are entered into the Show & Shine. If you have questions whether you are confirmed in the show and shine, call Calder Park. Ideally you should fax your entry form in, and call Calder Park shortly after (15mins) and pay over the phone.

3- On the day, what time must the 'show ans shine' cars be there by? Be there by 9am. All show cars must be in the gates and in their positions shortly after.

4- Where do they go to get in? Or should you just tell the "guy at the gates" that your in 'show and shine', and he'll guide you where to go? Go to the Main Entrance, have photo identification (license) and you will be instructed where to go from there. Show and Shine competitors get ONE ticket, if you have passengers, they will have to pay for their entry.

Good work DRFTAE86 , lots of people have been asking those questions . As for the show and shine , if you have never driven around Calder i would suggest doing it before its knocked down and turned into housing . Also good to note how stuffed that track is in places , watch out for the pot holes Laughing

True true.

About this overheating talk, Im actually abit worried about how my PVC filter piping will handle 15hrs of runtime.

diagnose problem first, could be something small like a popped out coil or lead (happens with mine sometimes, sounds like a WRX *cringes*)

but overheating sounds like HG, i had that issue once, was just stresses radiator piping

radiator piping started the problem.. think its the HG i checked the leads spark plugs etc.. about 20% to 30% loss in power too.. i can get a swap over for $300..which isn't to bad for 20v.. changing the engine is probley cheaper than fixing a HG.

Sweet. As long as she's up and running by next weekend, that's all that matters! How did it happen anyway? Was it just a really hot day? Stuck in traffic?
