Hey guys,
My TA22 has being lowered but as the tyres r lightly wider then the gaurds they keep rubbing on the panel every time the car squats.

Wot i need to know is
A) does anybody no any quick or cheap ways to fix this problem or
B)Does anyone have a set of original TA22 springs

Also just wondering, are there any other cars with similar springs?

Thanks guys

Wheels rubbing, easiest/most sensible way to fix is purchase a set of wheels with the correct offset.

Cheapest way... a hammer and some creative body work? Razz

just get the guards rolled, most panel shops should be able to do this for you and its not a huge expensive job.
what size tyres/wheels are you running? ive got plenty of room on the back of mine with 205/60/14's, but my 195/60/14's rub on the front.
unless they're huge,(225+) your offset is probably wrong.

i do have a set of original springs, PM me if you're interested...

if they are only rubbing on the flat part of the lip most people get their guards rolled ( around $50 an arch )

a different/closer offset will solve ur problem if
the wheels you hav are a different offset to factory but yeah... new wheels pricey $$$

also there are wheel machining shops that could also machine
the flange down if it is suitable to do so - only a few
mm tho..

300 Shocked fark!

rubbing on the guards is like 225, a foot past the guards
more like 300 Very Happy

when they roll ur guards, the paint is heated up so it
streaches and the rolling machine rolls them nice and
even... sometimes it will crack older paint and need touch
ups but generally not

cut springs.... shady Cool

well good luck whatever way you go... love the paintjob!
