Making AE86 wiper arms like new again.

Hey all AE86 owners - the wiper arms on my AE86 are in pretty crap condition - bare metal and/or rust in parts. Does anyone know if it's easy to replace a whole wiper arm assembly with one off another car (maybe another model Toyota?) I'm talking both fronts and the rear hatch wiper.
Or do I just clean them up and maybe get them powder-coated?

i had a hard time finding replacements off other model cars, but ended up getting some replacements off a wrecked AE86. As far as i seen, 83, 84, and 85 models all have different wiper designs.
but they are piss easy to get em looking better, just sand em down with like 800 grit, good wash/wax grease remover, and coat em in matt or gloss black.

with mine, i removed the part that holds the wiper blade and the joint that's attached to it, went to supercheap and bought some black replacements and put them on.
with the wiper arm, i sanded it down and painted it in black and added clear coat to stop them from fading. looks smick now

Thanks for the advice, gents.
Looks like I'll be getting out the sandpaper shortly and buying some black paint.

Yeah, just sand and spray 'em, it doesn't take very long and they end up looking awesome. Just make sure you do a lot of very light coats, not a couple of heavy coats.

also, while you're at it, you might as well attack that plastic guard piece that runs along the bottom of the windscreen, that's probably the most faded part about ae86's. looks like new after
