is g/box oil the same a engine oil?
it seems like the engine oil is leaking from the gbox or is there something less wrong

no
gbox oil is NOT the same as engine oil.
probably leaking from rear main seal. in which case u need to unbolt the gear box clutch and flywheel to get to it

arh, then the next question is how do you put g/box oil in? and how much do they go for these days? also is ae86 brake/clutch dot4?

brake and clutch uses same fluid
easiest way is to put it inthrough the shifter
and stop when it comes out the level plug on the side
|

i just remembed i dont have the tailshaft on could that be the cause of the leak?

if the yokes not in it will leak out
