Hi guys this is my first time here. I drive a 1990 ST185 toyota celica and am wanting to get a new computer for it, so i can start doing a few decent mods to it. My problem is i cant find any decent computers for a 3SGTE. Can anyone help me out with this? Details such as what would be the best brand? The best value for money? And where i can get one from?

The selection around to suit a 3SGTE is massive.
There are so many homegrown EMS systems here in Australia/
MoTec, Haltech, Autronic, Wolf, Microtech. All of them can do a good job.
You can even get great results with the standard ECU and an add-on like a GReddy EManage.
It all depends on your budget.
Give us a price that you'd like to spend including tuning and installation, and we can recommend an EMS.

How are you finding the car minus the AFM, any major difference?
Are you able to control the TVIS to open when you say so?
Complete plug'n'play + Map sensor right?
Did you need anything else installed?
I'm leaning towards this setup at the mo.
Grp A turbo? an ST185 GrpA ct26 or ST205 ct20b.

I have a 3S-GTE ECU for sale if you're interested. It's running in my car at the moment, hopefully not for too much longer. Click on the bottom link in my sig for details.

its a group A st185 Ct26 as far as i know
runs fine less afm - though you do need to make allowances for a air temp sensor ive found - as the airtemp sensor still picks its signal off the one built into the afm ..
Currently my AFM + stock airbox is still installed - awaiting a few mods being done to the car so i can swap to a straight pipe off the turbo
As for the tvis - i believe theres some control there - but seeing mine was faulty when the ECU was installed - i need to get this repaired being done atm ) so it can be re-tuned ..
This is the main reason , along with the TPS as to why im not running to maximum potential as yet ..
with the issues ive had - ive found the ecu to delicver power nicer lower in the rev range - it feels alot more torquey off the mark then it had on the stock ecu ..
Fuel efficiency was also brought well under control - it no longer puts out a huge black cloud of raw fuel smoke when the boots put into it ..
And seeing it made as much power as before , with 2psi less boost then the standard ecu is running - its potential is just waiting to be tapped with a frew more pound of boost ..
Id suggest if you were to go the wolf option , try and get a frontmount sorted at the same time - or means of additional cooling to your charge ( assuming your running a GT4 ) as the wolf will only run properlly with 98 octane . Colder charge + high octane = greater power yields with dyno tuning - as logic dictates

Nice to hear that you get more torque low in the rev range.
I am running a ST185 converted to full Auspec GrpA(other than ECU)
Let us know how you go with the re-tune after your TVIS & straight intake is sorted.
