Rust on Disc Breaks

If theres rust on my disc breaks will this be a problem for me??(the car hasn't been driven in awhile 2 months) or will they just kind of brush away after awhile?

Surface rust will just wipe off once you use the brakes a little... it won't cause much harm other than a slight increase in pad usage for the first couple of kms.

Disc brakes are bare, exposed metal pieces that will rust at the drop of a hat. Water + metal + (given period of time) = ferrous oxide (rust), and the most obvious place to find rust is the centre hub or the outer circumference of the disc face (the vented surface). Prevention is the best cure here.

Always remember kiddies that brakes get hot, and that normal paint will blister and burn. Use high temp enamels.
