so i was thinking.. wire is now 35 years old.... and EFI is going in... time for something a bit better than stock loom... turned out the new loom is about 35mm diameter in places
there are 23 wires + shielded tach wire to engine bay on loom side, 8 wires to rear of car, and 18 wires on the Megasquirt loom. now includes immobiliser, central locking, hazard lights, CD player, battery LEd monitor thingy.. AND RELAYS!!!!!!!!!

and the Megasquirt loom

well, stuck the console and loom in today and was only a cm or two off in measurements... slots in very tightly... stoopid KE1x
yar, i hate electrics not working properly, so i designed this system such that nearly everything is on independant circuits.. this resulted in abotu 10 relays and nearly 30 fuses.
heh heh, my 'electrical lurve' is not for sale... unless you pay handsomely i'll put up my diagrams later, as they are fairly generic.
LOL, missile switches i honestly tried to think of a use for them, but i have nothing on my car that i am afraid to turn on... yet...
yup, have been keeping track....
love the pink radio
any suggestions for EDIS trigger wheels and coil packs? i have two EDIS4 modules and will be running MS2 (keep an eye out for "MS2-It Runs" thread on msefi.com )
i was going to try MJLJ or MSnSe, but MS2 seems nice for now

Bosch coil pack. I have part number for one. For trigger wheel, get one water cutted. I have CAD drawings.

i checked the retro cars magazine and it says the EDIS trigger wheel is taken from a ford sierra and they give a part number for a pressed steel disk... part no. 1078767
as for coil packs they did mention that australian and american v8s use two 4 cylinder coil packs so just get one of those.
hope its of some help to you.

thanks Syncro...
i think i will either need to get a custom one made for a K series motor, or get it machined into the crank pulley..
as for coil packs, i'd like to compare the EDIS with other ones like the hyundai packs which are very easy to get...
the console has now been installed, along with central locking
pics on their way

4K, 3K head, 7KE injection, Megasquirt.. and later EDIS4 ignition.
central locks were remarkably easy!!!!! i will get some pics up on the net somewhere... they are mounted right at the bottom of the door, direectly below the locks..
i'm just using some DSE locks that i bought about 6 years ago
