i use two programs. one 'DVD Decrypter' to remove copyright stuff and 'DVD shrink' to decompress the file onto a blank dvd. Wink

how do ya make it so you can break down a dual layer dvd onto two dvdr-s? At the moment its just saying on shrink the file is too big for the destination disc...how do i enable it to use dual discs?

DVD shrink lets you select what languages you want, what extra features you want, what audio tracks you want.

Just choose the main movie, enlish audio & no sub titles, it should fit perfectly.

DVD Shrink 3.2 is what i use,and it uses nero to burn, some sort of "plug in" or something

just select "open Disc" from the menu's at the top.

It will analys the disk then give you some options. 2-3 minutes

9/10 i just remove all un-neccessary languages and shrink the menus/extras and so forth via the "custom ratio" option turn all these right down and leave the movie set at automatic, if this still doesnt work, use 8.7gig disc's its that easy.

Dual layer im still trying to learn, dont get much time on puter these days.

Cheers

Steve

for simple backups, i only use 2 programs

1. dvd decrypter for ripping the dvd content into the hdd and taking away the copyright protection

2. clone dvd to select content to burn (main movie, ads, subtitle, audio, etc...)
