need help with RWC

Today i took my car to get what i thought would be a RWC...instead I'm told lies about how my cars lights are faulty (which they work fine), that the air con switch doesn't work (which it is fine) and other such defects and on top of all this i had to fork over $65 just to be told how much of a lemon my car is. Now i have no vehicle to drive and can not afford what the merchant mechanics are asking to "repair" everything. I'm in Melbourne and any such help would be appreciated

mate i had a similar problem when i was in canberra a few years back...i knew my car was ready but it was knocked back by one dude...i took the car to another mechanic who said it was fine. and then i put in a complaint and the first dude lost his license.
if u are completely sure you are in the right get a second opinion.

My heart goes out to the QLD people. Although you dont need a yearly check (only when registration changes names), QLD DOT rules say that you must get the repair work done by the shop that issued the (failed) roadworthy certificate, to stop people shopping around to get their cars passed....you can get shafted pretty bad with this setup, believe me.
Good luck mate.

Thats nasty stuff...and thanks all for your help!!!
I hear that in SA you don't need a rwc, thats what i hear so don't hold me to that...I've decided on putting my car up for sale due to the fact i don't know any mechanics. My post is in the classifieds section if anyones interested feel free to contact me.
Cheers

I'd say you should get a second opinion from a mechanic someone on this forum recommends...there are plenty of them
What's state are you in? and area?
Make the guy lose his license if he's pulling dodgy shit like this
