yeah they are cruisy, they are automatic, cruising along, get laughed at by the commodore next to you, then hit boost and bobs your uncle.

I want a less common sorta car
and one that doesent have "family car" stigma behind it
the bmw is sorta common, but it will be getting one of the later M3-m5 colours

i want a good looking car
with new suspension
and I hate ma61's looks (bar malloy and a select other few)
this time has to be a nice car with soft suspension
not a sports car
soarer will always be there for that role

Pffffft, the supra styling is the best.
Plus, with stock suspension, it is as soft as a baby.
Its a car built for cruising.

Chaser would be nice, but they generally cost way to much
Im thinkingm the bimmer up the top and getting it sprayed in this colour
I just want a comfy car, what ever way it goes..
the celsior imported and on the road would be like 12.. then whatever I want to add(depends if i can get a kitted or stock one).. but ill probably want it resprayed anyway.. so say 15-16k
a bimmer just like the one at top respayed in that blue will cost me about 18 all up..
it would be nice to own a bmw.. but also nice to own a celsior v8
the bimmer is a 2.6L 6 so would be good on fuel cruising..
how do 1uz's go?

going as cheap as 8K these days
7k to spend blingig it up and turbo conversion
edit:1uz are apparently more economicl than a commonwhore 6 and a hell of a lot smoother to drive
|
no turbo for this car
my soarer is VERY economical 8.3l/100km with regular driving
I want something that is decent(im not expectring it to be as good as my soarer).
jzx90 is too expensive
celsiors are good.. but Id want a kitted one otherwise its not worth the importing hassles.
the van is... well... no
any common problems with celsiors?

If you get a bimmer at leats get the 328i much more torque but only one more kw for same wieght, but whatever you do don't try and pass it off as an m3. One prob for bimmer though = insurance probably over $3000 for anyone under 25 I've priced it for a 328i as wouldn't mind one once I get money like next year but running costs end up making it unafforable. One question though whats wrong with the soarer.

Wouldnt try and pass it off as an m3
just a stock 325i with nicer paint
A celsior thats already here would be good.
the one in the link above is nice, how much?
Nothing wrong with the soarer.. but I need a 2nd car so I can take soarer off road whenever I want to do work.. its not a very cruisy car, VERY stiff and loud and not something to have a nice relaxing drive in. it screams hammer me every time i drive it.
I want nice, soft suspension, quiet car and comfy, nice interior
I am planning a big single for the soarer, so id like to have a car while I do that etc.
And i can choose which car to drive on the day depending how I feel

Subaru Liberty... cruzy, not as common as its sportier brother... Id vote the BMW, my cousin just got a 2004 325i i think? im not too good with beemer model numbers, 0-100 in 6.4 and a price tag of $65,000... my mate also just bought a 6.2 litre LS1 VU SS Ute, $28,000 both are cruzy....
also an mx-5 miata if your into the open roadster type? of those 3 you mentioned, only the BMW doesnt look like a riced up heap-mobile...
Oh, and toyota-wise, chasers are awesome.

Im only looking at spending like 20k total, its all out of my own pocket, I dont get company cars
not too interested in 0-100 times. .as long as its not annoyingly slow.
Ive looked at liberties, but the only ones at that price are older models and they look horrible.
As I said earlier, hate commo's..
mx5 is too small and povo
definately want a big cruiser
I might ring around a bit and take a few lexus's for a ride
Chasers are a bit out of the price range, even for a jzx 90.. but I also done want a 2nd 1j.. or if i did, would have to be auto(not that I dont love my manual)

hey all, my parents own a E36 96' BMW 323iA and it has done 180,000K and the only problems we have had is my mum hit a flock of galahs and the radiator fucked up, but the car has been serviced at a proper BMW place, the bad thing about these cars are that the parts cost fuck loads, just recently my parents bought a 01' 530iA Excutive with all the goodies like tv, sun roof, full black leather interior, m5 mags thats just my 2c.

Ignore the 2.0Litre 6-cylinder. 2.5 or 2.8 Litre is the only way to go if you can't shell-out for an M3 (GOD i wish I could!)
I've read quite a few reviews on 2nd hand BMW 3-series, and oil/water leaks are the main thing to look for, and don't touch it if they can't prove that the engine oil has been changed regularly, and the major service stuff is up to date (timing belt/chain etc).
Have you considered an E30 M3? Rorty 2.3Litre 4-pot (7,000rpm+), Super-tourer spec bodykit, 200hp, sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet.
M Power!

I'll back that! I used to have a bmw and man, the parts cost a fortune even for the smallest thing. Hey dont get me wrong, they look pimpin but just think about other associated costs before you buy one.

Have you been to the parts/service desk at a Toyota dealer recently? I had to sign over my first born last time I bought genuine Toyota parts ! ! !

Yes i have. I've had to buy heaps of stuff from toyota for my conversion and to be honest i got it all for a decent price.
When i compare it to the $129 i paid for an accelerator cable for my BM

If you go looking elsewhere, you'll find while relatively expensive compared to aftermarket parts, Toyota is quite reasonable via dealership standards.

Hi,

and one that doesent have "family car" stigma behind it
the bmw is sorta common, but it will be getting one of the later M3-m5 colours

Ho hum... yawn... BMWs are shit common. Look around and you see them everywhere. The last few days I been catching the bus into the city and the BMWs were all over the place. They're almost like assholes - everyone's got one.
Get yourself an old Merc 450SL "dish-top" 2door. Nice old car, reliable and a great cruiser. How about an old Charger 770 (or E49 - but they're pretty rare)?

$129 for a cable? Holy schnikeys ! !
yup - that's criminal alright!
admittedly, BMW 318i's are like commodores in the rich suburbs, but who cares? I'll take an E36 328i coupe right now ! !
hmm, I probably could if I sold the sillycar.... . . .
hhhmmmmmm... . . .
