Does anyone know the tacho signal voltage on the JZA80? Trying to make the tacho work on one powered by a 1J, a Haltech E6K and twin M&W ignitors.

does the halteck have a tacho output if so u need a booster
if not then u need something like an autronic tacho adapter
u can run 2 signals in from each coil then it adds them together then has one output
i can supply both if you need them

Or you can just join the coil -ve wires together with diodes, if you're handy with a soldering iron.

There isn't a tacho output as such on the Haltech. You have to configure the auxillary output to run the tacho. It's a 0-12 volt signal. It's probably best to leave that for something a bit more useful.
I got the tach adaptor diagram from Haltech, so I think I'll just run that and see how it goes.

The RA23 tacho will work on a 0-12 signal so you should be right if you follow haltech's instructions.
