i havent seen either so this is only a rough guess but....
in terms of wiring... alot easier.
your only prob will be if it fits in the ra28 dash cavity and if it lines up with original bolt holes.
otherwise a nip and tuck here and there will get it in.

i was gonna put a ma61 digi dash in my ta23 and everything was pretty straight foward...even the colour codes on the wires mostly matched up so it wasnt gonna to hard of a job...just adding a few extra things in like low fuel light which the 28 doesnt have and a few other bits and pieces..the hardest thing is how neat you can get it in the dash itself.

The GZ20 "digital" dash isn't really digital at all; it uses a mechanical speedo cable and a sensor inside the dash converts this to a digital readout.

most dashes will have exposed pcb circuit boards on the back. If you follow the tracks you'll find alot of them will have abbreviations printed in so if you can work out the abbs. you can tell what pin does what and substitute the right wire form your car into the dash plug.
otherwise get ahold of some wiring diagrams (from your car / motor and the dash your putting in) and start matching the same wires.
those that don't match ie low fuel lights in a ra/ta you'll have to be a bit more tricky about.... would prob involve getting the fuel sensor out of the car the dash came from or something like that.
Hope this helps

Hi,i have just completed this exact same thing.
The way i got around it was by installing the loom from the halfcut to retain that sexy dash, also by doing this i got intermittant wipers etc etc.
As for the speedo it had no cable, instead where the cable goes to the gbox it has a sensor instead.
i have some photos and or could take somemore if you like.
Mine has run faultlesly since finnished but i have a lot of spare wiring underdash but that aint hurting nothing under there, allthough if the wiring Guru,s have any ideas on how to thin that out but keep that dash i am all ears.
i am getting a mate to come over to post whoa to go pics and stuff coz its Fargin beautiful.
Ta Guy

I did this quite a few years ago. Many hours with side cutters trimming out redundant systems. But hey do it right, and you get cruise control as well. I used the GZ20 auto so speedo drive was not a problem.
