Where is the fuel pump wire... Sun, 13 October 2002 02:02 Go to next message
...on an '89 MX83 Cressida? I need to find the "end" of this, so that I can connect it to the Autronic ECU.

Anyone?
BTW. I've had a look under the car near the tank and can only locate feed and return fuel lines and brake lines... Embarassed (Gives some idea of my "hands-on" ability - ie. None).

Its probably an intank pump, so you'll have to go through the boot to get to the pump.

But i wouldn't be hooking it straight up to the Autronic when you find the pump power.

Most aftermarket ecu's will only allow you to sink the load side of a relay's contacts which is a much smaller current than a fuel pump which can be a few amps. It will blow your autronic if it isn't meant to be hooked up like that.
