As far as i know a genuine ESP only came with the v8's fitted
what id say is your mate has a ESP look alike based on an XE
s pac falcon - with a turboed 6 in it.. these came out with the 4 speed
your welcome to prove me wreong
Plus - XE's came out the same time as the VK - XF's were the VL's compeditor
easiest way to check is to see if it has genuine Sheel seats ..

To my recollection these were not a factory turbo. AIT did a turbo kit for them which looked like it was a factory job and i think Dick Johnson actually did a few turbo'd falcons...but they may have been XF's.
In any respect if it's a fair dinkum it will have the scheel seats as Stuart said.

Nope ESP's came in 6s too, and ford did actually bring out the turbo as a very very limited option, like less than 500 of them. Most of them were dick johnson "interceptors" but it was an option on the ghia's and ESP's at the time. Think they made about 174kW with an average torque curve

OK i have done a bit of research on them and there
were 150 SE(special Edit) done by dicky johnson.
Then ford did a ESP, and im not sure what these actually looked alike have and article on these adn teh dicky johnson ones
This chick that i am posting the add for brother had it and he past away and the family dont know what it is.
It was only when i lokoed at the car i did some research on them.
Adn from all the information i have found this car is none other than a convert turbo. However it still raises a few concerns as it has the ford garrett badge under the hood.

Ok now from my research people that have owned them and had friends that have.
No they were not done in 1981/2 - 84 when the xe's came out it was a few years later. Well thats waht i have been told.
Yes Dick johnson did do a turbo Xe and yes a few Xf's i believe.
Now these only came in true blue and red. they had a distictive body kit and they had two significate badges under the hood and one onthe dash. They were only done to EFI Falcons.
Then there was teh ESP
Carbie engine (to my knowledge, Water methonol injection and dont know much else.
Now these people who have they car for sale have had it looked at and they are under the impression that it is unique and one of a kind it is in reasonable condition (pretty good) no rust that i could see. Been looked after
if interested see the original message for the number
