Actually, just looking at the pics, is it just me or is the dump pipe flange (with the 3 studs) pointing in the wrong direction?

I seem to remember it coming out towards the back?

Hmm looks interesting. Any shaft play??
What are these good for?? Are they better then the HKS kits of TD04-09B turbos selling on imports blits or not. I also heard these were highflowed. Is this true or not...

Re: postponed, waiting on confirmation: 1G-GTE Blitz BAG turbos Wed, 08 December 2004 06:07 Go to previous messageGo to next message
G'day guys, work is getting a bit busy

anyway, i was looking at the blitz kit again, and at a closer inspection realise that its not a camera affect, but somhow the dumps is pointing at the wrong direction.

When i purchased this turbos, the bloke told me it was out of a 1ggte, and i didn't bother checking it up, as i only intended to use these wheels and replace it with my ceramic CT12A's.

so until i can get a confirmation of what exactly this kit is, this sale is on hold!

sorry guys

They look as though they're meant to sit on the other side of the engine... Maybe the "dump pipe" was put on the wrong way or something crazy.

Re: postponed, waiting on confirmation: 1G-GTE Blitz BAG turbos Wed, 08 December 2004 07:48 Go to previous messageGo to next message
yeah they were, looks like the last guy or the guy before that put it back together with the dump the other way around!

anyway as far as shaft play goes, i m no turbo expert, but i've tried to wiggle the wheel, try to see if it touches the housing or not, and no it doens't touch the housing and the wheel moved no more then 0.5mm, i've also taken it down to Vince Rigoli in Wetherill Park in sydney, when i purchased then, he(Rigoli) said it was in excellent condition, i had another 2 people with turbo knowledge had a look and they reckon it was properly been rebuilt not so long ago.

what are these good for?
i dont know! but heres a few qoute i got from this site.
"I was pulling 140rwkw @ 14psi and its much more responsive and stronger than the standard turbos"on a gen 1

another guy said he got 142rwkw at 12psi, on a gen 3

dont how well this would go on a gen 2 properly 141rwkw at 13psi Very Happy

Are these turbos highlflowed steel wheeled Ct12's?
i believe they are "high-flowed and strengthened", and yes they are steel wheels that way i purchased them in the first place.

Are they better then the HKS kits of TD04-09B turbos?
sorry i dont know!

Blitz avante garde! Replace the impeller and compressor air intake side of genuine turbo charger. This simple bolt-on type turbo kit maximizes the performance of your turbo. This is the new Blitz concept of tuning up genuine turbos. The impeller diameter (core component of this bag turbo) is enlarged by 17%, and its precision balance is improved 10 times. The compressor housing is made of new material and specially heat treated to improve durability by 44%.

Looking forward to putting these puppies on
