hey man

From what i recently read about 1jz and autos is that a common misconception can occur with people thinking its a misfire but actually the engine management does this tiny misfire so as to protect the gear box from harsh changes... maybe im wrong with this but i have read it on autospeed ???

It is not a misfire...

The gearbox is sending a message to the engine to retard itself (sounds weird) so the box doesn't do full throttle upshifts.
This is perfectly normal, and is experienced by most 1JZ auto owners who have upgraded to a larger exhaust.

You have nothing to worry about.

el·o·quent Pronunciation Key (l-kwnt)
adj.
Characterized by persuasive, powerful discourse: an eloquent speaker.

In plain English, very descriptive...

Now that I've explained it, it's taken all the sarcasm out of the joke Razz

just out of interest i put the removable baffle back in the 44 gallon drum muggler that hangs out the back and the computer induced gear change miss (thanks guys i wuz about to start looking deeper) has disapeared

i wonder if back pressure has anything to do with a sensor or is it just i cant hear it anymore
