Laughing yeh i saw that. I was thinking it might be some scam that you can use to force them to lower prices, but instead it was all the basic shit Mad

i.e. keep the car well maintained, drive slowly and dont speed off at the lights Rolling Eyes

did you notice a story about the old lady not wanting to move although the developers gave her 25 offers over $1million? That was aired about 8 months ago Laughing More proof that they've got nothing

Yea, I thought it was going to be some other dodgey "spend $100 at bob's produce, ma and pa's hot lube gel, and a bunch of other shops you never visit to gain some discount. Smile

Instead it's some shit we already know. Notice I say *we* and not everyone. Wink

But I noticed he wasn't going to suggest he trade in his falcon and buy a prius instead. Very Happy

EDIT: At least it wasn't some dodgey shit like fuel atomisers or "twister" air intake rubbish.

Anyone remember a study they did a while back which found that accelerating briskly up to the speed limit actually used less fuel than those people who take over a kilometre to get up to 60kph? Btw this doesn't mean fanging your car up to redline every gear change, just quick smooth acceleration...

I might go look for a link to back this up Wink

u also forgot and this accounts for both ACA (a current affair), (i use the slang cause i am hip and up with all those great shows) and today tonight, they also air hte stories about the Con-man who ripped off dumb arses and the shittest cheapest place to buy food that is off. Or the Neighbour/Tenant from hell who trashes the place or causes fights. But have u noticed with those Con-Men stories they are so lame like u would have to be fucked in the head. I remeber a while back a story about this bloke that paid these guys $50,000 so he could inherit $9,000,000 from this Nigeria bank fund, u would just have to be fucking off yer face to give some fool $50,000 who u never met to inherit $9,000,000, and wat is even worse and shows how incredibly fucked the guy is in the head, he went on the show (ACA). Not only is he fucked in the head for giving some random person $50,000, but he wants to show himself on TV for being such a tool!!

Yea, I think it's to do with if you briefly, like 3-4 seconds bring the car up to ~3000rpm, change gears, (no WOT), as opposed to taking double that time you'll use less fuel as the longer you take, the more work the engine is actually doing, (It's staying in the mid power zone for longer). I hope that makes sense.

Funny... I read an article (RAC, iirc) about fuel efficiency and they reckoned that you got best efficiency by keeping the revs low but giving plenty of boot.

I know that grannying the Supra actually makes the fuel economy worse, it seems to like it best if you take it briskly to the speed limit (50%-70% throttle, rev to 3k rpm) and then get in 4th or 5th and just cruise along at ~2k rpm

Actually, I don't see how catching pubic (intended), transport will save the planet. Because they have to use extra fuel to lug my arse around where as the car will do the same thing.

I want an electron accelerated propelled car powered by a quantum singularity. Very Happy
