WANTED- information on settings for 3TGTE

Hi guys, Ive been told someone around here has a manual for a 3TGTE? I need some scans if possible, or am willing to buy the book if someone has one they are willing to sell.
I need the usual info, mains tension, bigend tension, head tension and sequence etc etc. Prefer scans of documents to ensure accuracy rather then someones opinion please.
Reply here or email me thanks, soarer21@optusnet.com.au
thanks

Yet again, give Nark a nudge, I sent him all of the figures from my 3TGTE factory manual 2 years ago that he was going to put into the tech articles section of the Toymods webpage
You there Nark?

Are you sure about that?
Learned opinions are sometimes quite worthwhile things.

Indeed they are when backed up by fact, however this usually only occurs when there is a failing in the factory item or specification true? As far as I am aware there is not really any such occurance with the 3TG engines, but I am open to correction if its fact based Taking someones unsupported learned opinion could result in an expensive learning curve should the information be based on an anomoly rather then a common fault.
Is there an issue with the 3TG engines? Other then a lack of piston strength and a low factory power output
Im led to believe you have some 3T specs from when you did the one in the KE20? Any help for another 3T afficionado would be appreciated
TurboRA28, thanks for that, but do the 2TG and 3TG share specs?

Use the tension listed from the 2TG, they are fine for a 3T GTE as well.
Unless you understand Japanese the 3T GTE manual won't be much help. You are better off using the 2TG manual.
Cheers,
Simon

All of the torque settings are listed next to an diagram of all the relevant engine parts, so its quite easy to understand.
But try the read the text sections, and yes, it becomes a nightmare!

2TG and 3TG share the exact same specs. I like to torque the head bolts up a shade more than the factory specs, I have blown 2 x head gaskets - the first was with the factory torque setting (63ft/lbs) when combined with O rings and 25 psi, and the second was with no O rings 25psi and 75ft/lb (tuning it the day after getting it together does not help).
Currently 75ft/lbs, O rings, Hylomar on gasket - 25psi every day - no issue.
I have head studs available for the 3T GTE and 18RG which have a 1/2" UNF top thread allowing 80ft/lbs (of course thay don't need to be taken that far).

mate i got the 3TGTE manual (well 2 actually) and they cost me a pretty penny. people may freak but they cost me bout $500 delivered each. from that figure there is $100 delivery as they have to be double handled from japan as no from there sends straight to OZ. therefore they had to be sent to someone i know i japan and then sent to me and cause i wanted it ASAP shipping was alot more for the overnight delivery (HEAPS MORE)
i could let one go if i can get my money back but i doubt anyone here would be willing to pay what i did for them. as for scanning them i would most definately do that for the community but one book is practically brand new and has been framed and the other is at a friends place getting translated... translation is gonna take forever cause they are doing it free of charge in their spare time as a favour for me so i dont expect to see it any time soon
further to that just listen to YelloRolla and Thetoyman75 as they have built these motors many times over and know it back to front (probably even better than the manual) they have always been kind to help me when i needed
