3T-GTE/3T-C

Hi,
a few questions i have are,
would all the bearings in the bottom end of a 3T-GTE be exactly the same as in the 3T-C and be interchangeable? they use the same block code and both sumps look identical. i just need my crank reground and put new big end bearings in.
Is any version of the 3T-GTE oil cooled from factory? how hard is it to fit an oil cooler to a 3T-GTE and find a cheap one?
Is the standard T-18 radiator provide sufficiant cooling for a 3T-GTE conversion?
Thanks.

The bearings are the same physical dimensions, however, the oil feed hole is in a different position, and needs to be re-drilled.
All 3TGTE's that I have seen have had a bypass oil cooler fitted from factory. The oil cooler lines come from the sandwich plate between the block & oil filter (& contains a thermostat), and return to the motor via the thermostat housing bolted to the exhaust side of the head.
Yes, the T18 radiator is sufficient, provided it is in good condition.
Cheers

The early 3T GTE's came from Toyota with oil coolers whilst the later model 3T GTE's had water cooled turbos and hence no il cooler.
If you get the thermostat etc used at the oil filter you can fit the oil cooler to the later model engine. My engine was water cooled and the sandwich plate behind the oil filter is plugged from the factory as its not needed.
Cheers,
Simon

Great thanks for the helpful info guys, i now know mine is a later model 3T-GTE due to the oil cooler connection holes being pluged up from the factory and my turbo cooling setup. thanks again. Does anyone know what else on the 3T-C can be interchangeable with 3T-GTE stuff like cooling system thermostats? etc etc. thanks
