standard fuel lines will be fine....unless u are pushing upwards of 500hp i dont see any point in every upgrading the lines...most of the fuel only goes straight back down the return anyway..

R u sure?
My mechanic thought we should upgrade to a bigger fuel line just for an 18R -> 18R-GEU swap, because of the EFI fuel system. only another 1/8" bigger than stock maybe, but he said the original lines were pretty small to handle anything EFI, especially a boosted 1G...

Then i must have fuel lines that are capable of 500+hp then. I would havt thought that using the orignal feed line as your return and run a new feed line the next size up would be the most logical way of doing it as thats what the stock 1g equipted cars came out with. Correct me if i am wrong.

hey, a few metres of half inch lines is better than a reserve tank
The standard lines should be fine, but the engine takes the next size up, so you need reducers in the lines. It can get messy. My setup was anyhow... The fuel line is pretty cheap to buy I think, it's probably better to just replace the steel lines with the size the 1ggte uses. wouldn't cost much more after the fittings and reducers needed to run the small lines.

i always just figured solong as you had pressure in the line and you had fuel going back down the return then its big enough lines...when u start getting to the situation where you have not much fuel going down the return as your engine is drinking it then its time to start thinking about an upgrade.

Upgraded fuel lines are for old-school carbies with low-pressure suck-through pumps. With a high-pressure EFI pump pushing fuel all the way from the tank, the standard lines will be more than sufficient. If you're paranoid, just hook up a fuel pressure gauge and keep an eye on it the first time you take it for a strap... if there are any fuelling problems you'll know about it straight away.

Well if you re run the feed line like i said that wont be an issue as it will come out on the passenger side of the bay however your original feed will need to re re routed to the other side so you can use it as a return.
