AW11 power window motor Thu, 09 December 2004 13:48 Go to next message
i am looking for the power window cog mainly (on the motor), does anyone have a old power window set-up?
i am not sure if any other model toyota car uses the same cog/motor with their power windows?

I only ordered my new ones a couple of weeks ago from www.twosrus.com, if I knew you were in the market I could have got you some at the same time Sad

If you don't mind second hand, you can have the one out of my passenger side motor when I replace it (still works perfect)

i have always wanted to get a few from twosrus, but never got to it. when it first went about 3 years ago i made my own one, but the plasitc i used wasnt strong enough as it's stripped out again.

let me know when you change yours, i would like to sport that passengers cog. Smile

is this what makes the windows slow... or is that just the motor.

i think it's the motor or a voltage drop in the relay set-up that makes them slow.
you know when the cogs stripped as the winow just clunks and carries on and doesnt go up with-out your help. Sad
i have to basicaly pull my window up by hand with the button pressed and then find a bit of cog for it to rest on with-out the glass sliding back down.

I'm expecting mine around christmas (sent over ground about 3 weeks ago). Soon as I get it, I'll change them and send the old 'good' one up to you.
