Celica st162 Brakes and Engine mounts Fri, 10 December 2004 05:50 Go to next message
Wondering what brake pads people would recommend for a celica sx. It’s a 1986 model… st162, I was considering putting brembix brakes which I found for $55 for the pair, or bosh for slightly cheaper….

I’m also wondering about peoples recommendations to buy engine mounts, I’ve got a pretty hard knock when lifting off the accelerator suddenly. In my RACV report of the car they said the front engine mount is starting to split, this was back in May so I think it would be on its way. Is there any sources for these which are decent? I found one but they were $130….

Thanx again

DUDE!
My engine mounts were a bit screwed so i did some research and found that simply fixing them up with polyurethane is the best option.
matt86sx helped me out with this link:

I just bought some polyurethane from supercheap, took off the front engine mount and filled in the gaps. The problem isn't fully fixed, but i think i just need to do the rest of the mounts as well. Its cheap as and it seems to work good.
Good luck man.
