hi does anyone know if 1J head studs are re usable or do i need new ones?? im thinging i need new ones. if so does anyone make them other than toyota as i havent been able to find any from ARP.

JZ motors do not use head studs from the factory, they use a TTY (Torque to yield) bolt. These are single use only bolt and must be replaced.

Unsure of the headbolt length of a 1JZ but you *may* be able to use 2JZ headstuds (ARP).

any chance i could get your chassis numbers so that i can check with toyota to see if the 1j and 2j studs are the same.

I just had a look, both the same PN 90910-02101. So you can use ARP headstuds.

Err not going to hand out my chassis number but JZA80-0021238/JZA80-ALFQZ is from a front cut I had.
