Cough, choke!!!

OK this is a bit of a rant
Dunno if i'm getting hypersensitive or something, but DAMN there are alot of cars on the road which shouldn't be there... Are there any rules regarding toxic emissions???
I'm getting sick of following cars which emit grey oil smoke, diesels putting out clouds of black smoke and cars which are poorly tuned & smell like s**t... It's getting to the stage where i'm running my air on re-circ fulltime to avoid choking on the fumes.
TUNE YOUR CARS, UPDATE TO A NEWER MODEL! Or something!!! If you can't afford to run a well tuned car, well in my opinion you can't afford to run a car. FULL STOP!!!
Please report offenders to the EPA NSW link or your local authority

unfortunately trucks cant be booked by emission testing, they are prime movers and dont have to be within the law

so the simple test of '10 seconds of sustained emmition of visible smoke' doesn't apply to them if you want to make a complaint?
jeez, well that sucks... then maybe not (considering how many people - particularly from the rag-top mr2 - complained about petrol fumes from the MA61 on sunday )

Geez, how bad is it I don't mind cars running a little rich, some petrol fumes are ok I know my old Torana wasn't that great in the ol' drive-thru test.
Nah i'm more concerned with those cars which put out clouds of grey oil smoke, and cars which are poorly tuned giving that 'rotten egg' gas smell. I don't mind prime movers since their exhaust is usually vented up high. But small trucks & 4wd's really need to clean up their act...
