Who makes Mags? Mon, 13 December 2004 05:46 Go to next message
Guys, I'm struggling to find a set of mags that will legally fit my car, and that I like, and that doesn't require 3 piece rims.

I am looking for 17x7, on a +16 to +20 offset, with 114.3x4 stud pattern.
I also need 40mm spoke clearance to suit 4-spot calipers.
(I can fit up to +28 on the front, but not the rear.)

There is literally fuckall out there, and if its out there, and reasonally priced, its a shit design.

Anyone got any ideas?

So far this is about all I know will legally fit

But I'm not a huge fan.

Buddy clubs will fit the front, but not the rear legally.

Both Dept of Transport and Insurance.

You are not legally allowed to reduce the track of the vehicle, or increase it by more than 12mm each side.

Stock offset is +20, which means from +20 to +8 is all I'm allowed.

Simmons is too exxy at the moment ($600 a rim), and ROH have shit designs for oldish school cars, all the good designs are 5 stud or FWD.

Can you get an engineers certificate to get past this law.

Eg I have a KE25 that is being built for track work but id still like to try and get it street registered. It has a widened track at the rear by at least 50mm (each side).
