there are 4 different types - you need to specify the shifter position.

(w55/57/58 cases are all the same by the way - the shifters interchange)

ed,

i've never looked at a ma61 gearbox, so i don't know which shifter setup it actually has, if it's the same as the w57 out of a ra60, it's the "middle" one.

my w58 came off a 1ggte motor, it had the rearmost shifter setup on it.

also - jza80 n/a supra has the updated rearmost shifter setup on it.

It wont work by linking it to your HDD...you'd have to host it somewhere so you can post it like that, or if you don't mind could you just e-mail it?

T and anyone else who is watching I am way sleep deprived and the garage is a dead set shit fight but I misplaced the shifter for my W55/W57 last night and found it and my W50 shifter and could not remember which one was which !

Well Bugger me if they didn't both fit Smile

They look to be exactly the same ! (BTW My G/Box has the middle shifter position best as I can tell ) It is a W55/W57 off a 1GGTE originally.

Damn, how busy have you been?!?!?
You've got dyno runs 'n everything (are they yours?)!
It's good to see that it is quite effective, can't wait to see the results. But where's my credit? Razz Very Happy
I gotta get my arse in gear, you make it look easy.
Time to get out the dremel......

Re: W58 shifter assembly Thu, 31 October 2002 13:57 Go to previous message

hey, not all (55/57/58) shifter housings and shifters match up. I have a W57 and a W58 and the gearshift from the 57 won't fit into the 58's hole.the assemblies swap over but not the shifters alone. Now I have to cut another shifter up!

Tim.
