RT142 Diff options

Hey guys, I just recently purchased an RT142 Corona CSi.
Now it has the crappy ole live outter / dead inner diff. This will only be so much fun welded up
I was wondering if an F series Corona Avante / MA61 Supra / Soarer IRS diff would bolt straight in?
Or, what other options do I have for LSD diffs? I have heard R31 Diff's are pretty much bolt up, bar some modification.
Thanks in advance

The Avante/MA61/MZ10 diff is an IRS setup, so no it won't bolt into your RT142. Some RT142's have the same semi trailing arm IRS setup but they have a different floorpan to your car. The short answer is to either trade your RT142 for an IRS model, or live with the live axle.
Unforunately the live-axle Coronas have a Borg-Warner diff so that limits your upgrade options. AFAIK there are no aftermarket LSD centre available for them, so you're looking at a full diff/axle conversion. You might want to ask yourself if it's really worth the bother...

I was told just tonight the exact same thing
Thanks however...
But, I was also told with a bit of effor an R31 LSD will fit in, and i've been given the number of an engineer who can make up diff brackets fairly cheap...
I think I will head down this path, as most Corona Avantes in QLD are stupidly overpriced for how good a nick they are in...
